Holiday Experience

Last year, I went to Salinas - Ecuador with my family because it was a national holiday, which was Carnival. I did many activities alone and with my sister.
First, my family and I arrived at Salinas on Saturday and we stayed at my sister’s house. I felt excited about that place because I love the beach. I could feel the sand between my fingers, the sea breeze, and the sunlight. Moreover, I really love swimming in the sea.
Second, the following day, which was Sunday, I saw a carnival parade and nautical parade, which is about a parade with Ecuadorian sailors and many decorated canoes. Before going outside the house, I bought a cap and bottles of water because the weather was so warm. The parade was colorful, amazing, and interesting.
Also, there were many people dancing with colorful and unique costumes, big musical flats, lots of food, and the weather was great. Then, I went to the main park of Salinas to take pictures of nature and the dancers.
Third, my sister and I ate the famous national dish, which was Encebollado; it is made with fish, tomato, yucca, and some cooking herbs. The same day at night, we went outside to take a break and to dance in a disco. I talked with many people from Salinas, Guayaquil, and other countries like Colombia, Venezuela, and Peru.
Finally, the next day I returned to my house in Ambato because the holiday finished. It was the best holiday that I had because I spent time with my family and I made friends from different regions and countries.
